AN armed American builder has been arrested in Pakistan on a crazed lone mission to kill Osama bin Laden.
The 52-year-old was found hiding out in a remote forest carrying a pistol, a 40in sword and hi-tech night vision equipment. “We initially laughed when he told us that he wanted to kill Osama bin Laden.”
But he said that the cops’ “suspicions grew” when they seized Faulkner’s mini arsenal of weaponry.
He was being questioned today by intelligence officials in Peshawar, in the north-west of the city. He was picked up in a forest in the country’s mountainous Chitral region one of bin Laden’s several rumoured hiding places. Faulkner told police he had visited Pakistan seven times, and this was his third trip to Chitral.
